Our Story:
It all started in 2017, when one of our grûnders had been through a demanding transformation process in a craft company that he took over as manager a year earlier. The enterprise ran at a considerable deficit, and all stones had to be turned over to make the arrows point upward again. As one of several measures, a thorough job was done to review all costs and all procurement agreements that the company had, at the level of detail. The process was time-consuming, but yielded results.
Within a short time, the arrows pointed upward again, which became a real wake-up call to how important and profitable it is to work systematically with costs, and how large price differences there are actually in the market.
A thought chimed in:
Why not copy the recipe and offer the service to several craft companies?
Simply “splice” on a purchasing manager?
Then you could also benefit from a larger total volume, and achieve better prices.
The idea for “Innkaupssjefen Norge” was born, and within 1 year the Purchasing Manager had gathered about 100 companies within the construction and construction industry. Later, more industries have come into being and we are now completely industry independent.
From the Purchasing Manager to the Purchasing Group:
We went from being a small player with relatively few customers to becoming a large group with many customers and a large supplier network. The time was ripe to consider a name change. In March 2023, we changed our name to Innkjøpsgruppen AS.
In parallel with the large customer growth, we developed a digital platform that has streamlined our processes, and helped automate much of the dialogue between customers and suppliers.
